verse 1
sittin here guess I didn't make bail
got time and a story to tell
started when I was 9 years old
woke up and daddy was gone
i started hustlin'
and they couldn't tell me nutthin'
frontin' in the hood tryin to be somebody
my soul was on empty
i was searching for something
tried to be good
tried to keep from trouble
livin' too fast
tryin to make good on a hustle
[chorus]
sometimes it gets rough
comin from where im from im from
times have gotten hard
comin from where im from im from
sometimes i gotta walk to work
comin from where im from im from
sometimes u gotta do a lil dirt
comin from where im from where im from
verse 2
wasn't really lookin'
guess i found it
5 foot 3
light brown skin
coming from the university
my style lookin kind of lovely
didnt know she had much game
down to ride out even take the train
>even took her to a poker game
top notch fried chicken and sushi
tried to be good
tried to treat u like a lady
tried to be your friend it turned out u were shady
[chorus]
sometimes I get lonely
comin' from where I'm from, im from
sometimes things ain't what they seem to be
comin' from where I'm from, im from
sometimes you get a little angry
comin' from where I'm from, im from
sometimes they get the best of me
comin from where I'm from, im from
verse 3
well tried to be good
wanted nothing but to love somebody
didnt wanna die young
started hustlin tryin to feed my family
too scared to have kids
and do like daddy did
cause im so scared of failing
sometimes I get caught
comin' where im from
(uuummmmm)
[chorus]

Comin' from where I'm from, I'm from
Sometimes you gotta moan
Comin' from where I'm from, I'm from
Sometimes you gotta cry a little bit louder
Comin' from where I'm from, I'm from
Sometimes you gotta fight the pain
Comin' from where I'm from, I'm from
Sometimes you gotta walk alone
Comin from where I'm from i'm from
Sometimes you get a little worried
Comin' from where I'm from, I'm from
Sometimes you get lost out of touch
Comin' from where I'm from, I'm from
Sometimes I think I pray a little to much
Comin' from where I'm from, I'm from
Sometimes I get a little scared
Comin' from where I'm from, I'm from
sometimes i get a little scared

Globalized Sounds

Today, beautiful European and American music, an Afrobeats recorded in Lagos, can play in headphones in Tokyo; a South Korean idol group can fill an Argentine stadium to capacity. On Spotify, the playback volume of African music has increased by 500% in five years; K-pop has already transcended the Asian border and become a common language for young people all over the world; Latin music has consistently topped the streaming charts for several consecutive years. The world is getting smaller while the scope of music is expanding.

The Power of the Scene

When the lights dim and the first note is played, strangers become synchronized. The tremor when thousands sing together, and the melody that still echoes after the crowd disperses - this is an experience that no screen can convey. We look forward to the return of large-scale concerts to the essence of music, and we also look forward to small livehouses continuing to nourish the most vibrant soil of music.

Crossing Borders

Music transcends languages - even if you don't understand the lyrics, you can still shed tears or dance. It transcends cultures - the drumbeats of Nigeria and the chants of Iceland coexist under the same sky. It transcends generations - a song from half a century ago can still bring tears to the eyes of today's young people.

We Create Together

The future of global music is not determined by algorithms, nor is it monopolized by a few giants. It is shaped by every person who presses the play button. Maintain your curiosity, step out of your comfort zone. Support independent musicians and attend live performances. Seek connections through music - because we believe that a song can change a day, and music can change the world.
